Recently eight men from Crosspoint United Methodist Church, Niceville, Florida, went to Budapest to visit the One Mission Hungary Team. Our daily grind was demolition, the first step in renovating an OMS Hungary multi-use ministry space. We swung hammers and pickaxes, ran jackhammers, and shoveled rubble. So much rubble! However, as is often the case, the work was secondary.
We are excited about the building, and we believe it will be an important part of OMS Hungary. We are more excited about the team with the vision behind the building!
The One Mission Hungary team showed us radical hospitality. We experienced the loving welcome of Christ through the open arms, open homes, and open hearts of the Hungary missionary team.
We were continually impressed by the diversity and unity of the One Mission Hungary team. Every member of the team had a clear sense of what they brought to the field, and they were guided by a singular vision to reach people for Christ. The Hungary team is not a loose association of cowboys and onewoman- shows; it is a model of the Body of Christ. Every member uses their unique gifts as part of a strong team who are collectively following the lead of the Holy Spirit. We were blessed to be a part of their team for a week!
I truly believe that God is going to do great things in Hungary because of the faithfulness, passion, and skill of the One Mission Hungary team. I am excited to get updates as the building and team plans move forward. And I fully expect, God willing, to see some of this work in person as our partnership with this incredible team continues to grow.
