I was originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, an atheist, and no time for God and the church. Yet, I had a passion to share the Gospel with people when I became a Christian.
My wife and I were invited to work with street children in Mexico City with 0MS for three weeks. There was opportunity to do manual work and share Christ. The last week we were asked to pray about the needs in Mexico. Although we had a home and jobs, we felt that God directly called us to Mexico.
Our son, Benjamin, was born while we were in Mexico, and now we serve God in Ireland. A lot started on that short-term trip. We had no real gifts or abilities. Yet, we could hold a paint brush, share our faith, or knock on someone's door to tell them of Jesus. Although insignificant in our eyes, it was significant when God was in control.
I recommend people go and see how God works in different parts of the world.
