Mayelis Prayers and Bible study group leader

Mayelis, you and your husband were recently blessed with a Bible. What does it mean for you to own a Bible?

First, this Bible represents a great blessing from God. Second, it represents an opportunity to share the gospel with my husband, who is not Christian, but is interested in knowing about the Word of God. Now we can read it together; sometimes I ask him to read with me a passage or we comment about any particular Bible story. In that way, he is more involved, and he can not only know the Word of God, but also learn about Jesus.

How long were you waiting for this Bible?

For a long time, almost five years, I was using my mother-in-law's Bible. Then the person who talked to me about Jesus temporarily loaned me one. Now we finally can have our own Bible. The version makes it more comfortable and nice to read.

Would you like to thank the people who made it possible for this Bible to get to Cuba?

Before all, I want to thank God for the people who brought these Bibles to Cuba, and for blessing our families.

May the Lord continue to bless them so they can continue to bless Cuba.We waited a long time to receive the Bible. Also, other people who do not know the Word of God, will be able to have their own Bible to study.

Alexis Age, 15 years old

Alexis, you recently received a youth Bible. What does that Bible represent for you?

That Bible, for me, is the best! Its standard language is very special for young people, and it is a more comfortable version. This version contains interesting ideas, stories, and notes about characters from the Bible. It also shares themes of interest for youth.

Did you have any other Bible before this one?

No. This is my first Bible; that is why it is so special for me. I used to read my grandparents' Bible. Now I have my own Bible, especially for my age.

Would you like to thank the people who have facilitated the arrival of this Bible to Cuba?

Know these Bibles are very important for the Christian youth of our country. Take into account we cannot download Bibles because we do not have internet access. However, thanks to God and to you, many young people can have their own Bible, just like me.

May God bless you to be able to continue sending Bibles for other Cuban young people. Also for others who visit our churches. They are interested in learning more about the Word of God.
