At the end of May 2016, another American team led by Dick McLeish came to Israel to serve Beit Avi and our family with encouragement and love. Dick has brought prayer teams to us since 2011. Although each team is different, they still bless us in the same way. I know this because after they leave, I hear from our people of how they made an impact in their lives. I preach and believe that the church is made from Jews and Gentiles that believe in the Good News presented by our Lord and Savior. So, it’s a part of our “DNA” to receive teams and have fellowship with like believers.
We call these “Prayer Teams” because the prayer begins even before they come. I know that when they arrive at the Ben Gurion Airport they are people that God chose to be here. I am not sure if they realize that they have been chosen by God, but I do know the learning goes both ways. We are humbled when they come, and I’m sure they leave different than when they came.
Batel, my wife, and our daughters always say that God uses these teams to refresh us by offering sweet fellowship as brothers and sisters in Yeshua. The people on the teams always give a special touch into our hearts and souls. After the team leaves, we talk about our time together as a family, and feel renewed whenever we remember our special time together.
My prayer is that these teams can continue to come, and that God will bring more of His people from the nations to love and be loved in the Land.
