Fairmount Christian Church has a NEW mission field in Haiti. While we continue to support other ministries in Haiti, the field is growing to include Cap-Haitien through One Mission Society. Rob and Lori McGhee moved to Haiti full-time November 2, 2017.
Our recent trip to our new mission field involved a full week of ministry with OMS near Cap-Haitien:
Sunday: Worship at a village church and a team field trip to the beach. The team rode to church and the beach in the back of an open truck.
Monday: VBS at Starfish Kids school with about 250 students.
Tuesday: Tour of Bethesda Clinic and Radio 4VEH.
Wednesday: Evangelism day with solar-powered radios in a village. (Four Haitians accepted Jesus as we shared the Good News!)
Thursday: Installed local area network at Cowman International School.
Friday: Taught morning chapel at Cowman and supported fun day at school.
Each day, we focused on sharing the Gospel of Jesus in all the different ministries at OMS. Each evening, we were invited to visit English as a Second Language (ESL) classes to talk with the adults.
Fairmount will be returning to Haiti to work alongside the McGhee's next year and, God willing, for many years to come. We are so THANKFUL for our church family's prayers and support in this new mission field.
