Update from Warren
Warren - This morning I was reminded of how God changed my life with Proverbs 2:1-12, particularly versus 7, 10-12:
"He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk in integrity, For wisdom will enter your heart and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul; discretion will guard you, understanding will watch over you, to deliver you from the way of evil, from the man who speaks perverse things;"
Then at church, the sermon was on Prayer Matters. The verses that stood out to me were Colossians 1:9b, 13-14:
"We have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins."
He has been so good to give deliverance and forgiveness. As church was ending my Bible fell open to Psalm 20:6-7:
"Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand. Some boast in chariots and some in horses, but we will boast in the name of the Lord, our God."
I hope your Sunday was as good as mine.
This morning as I was writing, I received an email from Cuba. A father is asking if I can help with building his son a home/church/worship center. This is another opportunity to see God at work.
As we celebrate Independence in the U.S., may we ever be dependent on our Holy God who is a wonderful provider, deliverer, and one who gives us His hand of blessing as we surrender to Him.
Thank you for your goodness. We stand and serve by the grace of God and in the strength of your prayers.
