Update from Bill & Jackie
Bill & Jackie - Hope you've had a good week. Jackie and I did and then we had a really busy weekend... but we enjoyed the weekend as well. Because of Hurricane Irma, my niece left her home near Destin, FL and came to Indiana for a few days. So my wife put together a family event to welcome Ashley and her 7 month old son back, PLUS to celebrate my brother-in-laws 50th birthday. Love you Vaughn (aka old guy!) We also got to see Nick for a little bit. We had to take his car up to him at college and then buzz back home. (Thanks Jim!!) Speaking of Nick, he has a birthday coming up on the 18th... his 23rd. I suppose that makes Jackie and I something like 35 or so.
Hurricane Irma thankfully didn't have any negative affect on our Haiti teams, but it hit Cuba very hard. We've seen some pictures and heard stories that really tug at your heart. And as we've all started to see, she has also had some devastating affect in Florida and beyond as she came ashore in the US.
Speaking of Haiti. My coworker, Jenna Guerrier and her husband Pippen, are still in Haiti. They were supposed to come out last Saturday but they've had to delay since they have two separate tickets coming back (AA and Southwest). Please pray for them to get out as soon as possible. Jenna's grandmother is struggling with her health and Jenna would like to get home before something dire happens.
Another prayer point I want to share again is for Velma Hardig. She is still struggling with her balance after nearly six weeks. Please pray for her to get better very soon and for Warren as he cares for her moment by moment.
THANK YOU for your goodness to our family. We praise the Lord for you and your love toward us.
Investing in Eternity, together with you!
