Robin - “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31
As I write these few thoughts this morning I look out of my office window and see the blue sky with white fluffy clouds, and the hedge in our garden beginning to bud. I often think how fast the pace of life is! And how little time we take to ponder on the goodness of our LORD. Perhaps if we took more time to reflect on the LORD’S goodness to us, we as His people would be in better health and have time to worship Him as we ought.
A few weeks ago I bought a book on the life of Peter Deyneka the founder of Slavic gospel Association, ‘Much Prayer much Power’. I leave you with a quote from his book below for you to ponder over!!
“A deep burden for others always results in much prayer. We should pray day and night for our friends and relatives, that they too might be saved. We should pray for revival in our churches and mission fields. I believe that one of the greatest sins in a Christian’s life is prayerlessness, not talking time to pray or read the Word of God. Saying a prayer just to quiet our conscience is not enough. We must take time to wait upon the Lord and renew our strength.” Peter Deyneka
