Update from Warren
Warren - "My Son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep My commandments; for length of days and years of life, and peace they will add to you. Do not let kindness and truth leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart." (Proverbs 3:1-3)
"The beginning of wisdom is acquire wisdom; and with all your acquiring, get understanding." (Proverbs 4:7)
"Watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life." (Proverbs 4:23)
These are some thoughts as we begin a new year. For it is in our hearts we dream, desire, and decide.
Velma and I were privileged to have a good Holiday Season with our family. We always enjoy receiving Christmas cards and letters from friends around the world. Then, the usual question in my mind is, “Did they get our Christmas letter?”
I thank the Lord for the national and international staff that God has given MFM. Our National Director in Cuba has now established 19 community kitchens for hurricane victims. Our brothers in Cuba and Columbia are planning very exciting outreaches, which I cannot allude to in writing. Let’s remember; yesterday is gone, we don’t have tomorrow. Let’s be all that God wants us to be today. My friend, Pete Wozniuk, would say, “Carpe Diem” (seize the day).
The MFM-U.S. Cabinet meetings are January 12-13, 2018, in Florida. Pray for John McLaughlin and Bill Evans as they lead the meetings.
We are beginning work on the next ACTION magazine and recruiting for ministry teams, particularly for Ecuador and Colombia.
Thank you for your faithful support and prayers. We stand and serve by the grace of God and in the strength of your prayers.
A prisoner of Hope,
Warren Hardig, Executive Director
Men for Missions International
Still Sharpening : Inspired by the courage and commitment of ordinary men answering God’s call to obedience, Warren has compiled 10 of their stories in Still Sharpening, his second book of personal narratives.
