Earthquake devestation in Manta, Ecuador.

On April 16, 2016, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit the northwest region of Ecuador, devastating miles and miles of coastline, as well as toppling hundreds of buildings and destroying dozens of highways inland. Nearly 700 people died and thousands more are seriously injured. MFM and OMS missionaries and national coworkers are partnering to meet the needs of the Ecuadorian people.

Men for Missions is actively recruiting people to join teams going to Manta, Ecuador. The first team left on November 12th, and will build a storage building to store tools and materials that future groups will need. They will also make needed repairs to a local church building.

The need is great! We are looking for brick layers, skilled carpenters, general construction workers, and others who can help build and clean-up as needed. MFM Ecuador teams currently forming are: Work, evangelism, VBS, and medical. Please pray and ask God how you can be a part in restoring lives, churches, and homes in Manta, Ecuador. To donate, make checks payable to OMS and designate Project Manta 402070. For more information contact us at or call 317-881-6752, Jim Smith.
