The Yoder Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by Wally and Marilyn Yoder as a way to assist and encourage first-time short-term volunteers with their travel expenses and mission experience. In honor and respect to the wishes of Wally and Marilyn, it is our desire to use these funds in the manner and heart in which they were given. They spoke often of their first short-term mission experience to Haiti and the impact it had on their life and their family. Wally often told how that first mission field experience changed his view and purpose in life, after which he was never the same. For Wally and Marilyn, it was indeed a “Life Changing Journey.” That first trip was then followed by many others that took them to mission fields around the world and further impressed upon their hearts the commitment to: “Do whatever God asks you to do,” to “Go wherever God asks you to go,” and to “Give whatever God asks you to give.” Therefore, we would like to make available scholarships in the amount of $150 to anyone that is participating in their first “Life Changing Journey” on a Men for Missions work, prayer, medical, or evangelism team. It would be our desire and prayer that God uses this first experience to the mission field to be “Your Life Changing Story.” Scholarship Application Requirements 1. Must be a first-time participant on a Men for Missions short-term mission team. 2. Completion of this scholarship application form. 3. List three (3) prayer partners that will be praying for you during your trip. 4. Include your Pastor’s contact information.
